Chashushuli with Tushenka

A bold, spicy tomato stew with character

Ingredients

  • 1 jar Gold Tushenka beef (500g)
  • 3 large tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1 hot chili pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • Fresh cilantro and parsley
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice onions into half-rings and sauté until translucent.
  2. Add Gold Tushenka beef and fry with onions for 5 minutes.
  3. Add grated tomatoes and sliced chili pepper. Simmer 15 minutes.
  4. Add garlic, coriander, and herbs. Cook 3 more minutes.
  5. Season with salt and serve hot with bread.
Tips

Chashushuli should be spicy — don't be shy with the peppers. For a milder version, remove seeds from the chili. Pairs great with rice or potatoes.
