Tushenka Burger with Adjika

A gourmet burger with Georgian character

Ingredients

  • 1 jar Gold Tushenka beef (500g)
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp adjika (Georgian chili paste)
  • 4 slices suluguni cheese
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Mash Gold Tushenka beef with a fork, mix with egg and breadcrumbs. Form 4 patties.
  2. Fry patties 3-4 minutes per side until a crust forms.
  3. In the last minute, place a slice of suluguni on each patty and cover with a lid.
  4. Split buns and toast cut-side down in the pan.
  5. Build the burger: bun, adjika, lettuce, cheesy patty, tomato, onion, bun.
Tips

Adjika instead of ketchup makes this burger truly Georgian. For better-shaped patties, chill them in the fridge for 10 minutes before frying. Serve with french fries.
